FIRST STEP

Once upon a time, I dream of having tea with my family near my office in the town.

It was not a dream; it was a reality of my life that I have this tea almost everyday and then go to office and then have the same tea with family and sometimes with colleagues. Like me, others also have it during the day or late in the evening with their family or alone. It is not the taste of the tea I am talking about here. It is something else.

I just realised, I never wished to have this routine job of going to office and having a cup of tea. I always feel I do not belong here.

I know it is very easy to be like everyone and move with the flow of life, but very tough to be unique. There is uniqueness in all of us though we never prefer the different path over this monotonous life; those who are able to convince themselves and have strong faith in their uniqueness, irrespective of their risk taking capability, blossom and don’t regret this life.

You have to decide, as you have tea on a
daily basis, may be after two decades i.e. when you reach your fifties, if you ask question to yourself about your life, what your answer will be.

Will it be “happy”, “very happy”, “satisfied”, or “proud of what you are doing”? Then you must work on your desired answer right now.

When we dream of something it should have proper appetite and substance.

This dream can come at any time and can be about anything, but it must be directed towards that one step, which will be the first step to achieve the dream.

Even if you are not 100% sure of the one step, you must go with it. The first step takes a hell lot of time but it is only you and your conviction, passion and perseverance that will decide the fate of this first step.

Many reach towards this first step when they realise the importance of this dream in their lives.

Recognising, then elevating and hence prioritising this dream in your life may require not only time but also devotion as it requires convincing yourself and precisely listening to your inner voice.

If you couldn’t have this first step and you have thought about it, then you must know there is only one life which is very short.

We live only once. Whatever we want to do, we have to do in this short life. Time never waits for anybody. As an old proverb rightly said, “Time & Tide wait for none”.

Are you ready for this firststep or do you wanted it to be just one of those tea dreams which will not be fulfilled in reality?

It is nobody but you who decides whether you wish to attain a strange kind of peace at your fifties, and thus respect your uniqueness by respecting God hidden inside you.
